Welcome! You may know me as

I graduated Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing. While there, I won the Jerri Dickseski Fiction Prize and first place in ODU’s literary essay contest for a piece on postcolonialism, culture, and aliens in Star Wars.

Currently, I spend my time writing epic space fantasies, teaching Fiction in The Muse's outreach programs, and working as the Center & Volunteer Manager.

The Muse Writers Center

The Muse Writers Center is Hampton Roads’ very own literary center, and since the early 2000s, we have grown into one of the top-10 writers centers nationally.

Unlike a college or university, we offer creative writing classes and seminars for beginning, experienced, and professional writers. This year, we are on pace to host 1,500 students in 300 classes for adults, pre-teens, and teen writers.

Because we believe in the transformative power of the literary arts, our aim is to embrace both established and emerging writers as well as those who want to write but haven’t had the opportunity to be guided by great teachers. We would love you to join us.
